In October 2013, Geneva Healthcare Limited purchased Northlink Health (formerly known as Rodney Health Trust). This friendly merger and change of ownership meant bringing the strengths of both organisations together making the new organisation one of the largest providers of Home and Community support services in the Northern region.
The new entity is now known as Geneva Northlink Healthcare and their services will continue as usual as we warmly welcome the staff and clients into the new organisation and continue to forge this partnership.
Geneva Healthcare believes this transfer of ownership offers a strategic opportunity for Geneva Northlink Healthcare to provide even greater services and will enhance the future growth and performance of healthcare services in the North Auckland and Northland region.
Northlink Health has been providing home-based support services to people of all ages since 1977 when Wendy Hawkings started a private nursing service from her home. Wendy was so successful that in 1987 she was asked to work on a pilot scheme in Rodney that provided nursing services for people in their homes. The pilot was a great success and the Rodney Health Trust was born.
Currently the organisation provides 24 separate services to over 3000 members of the New Zealand community through the keen efforts of 900 employees.
Geneva Northlink Healthcare provides at home care including home help to our clients throughout all areas north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge to Cape Reinga and from coast to coast in between.
We provide personalised services to individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities. The services we offer include home care, home help, personal care, respite care, private care, nursing services, housework and community participation.
Our dedicated professional staff is available 24 hours a day; seven days a week and we mold our in-home services to meet our clients’ in-home needs. Geneva Northlink staff always deliver services with compassion and care for every client.
The Ministry of Health (MoH), the local District Health Boards (DHBs) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) fund Geneva Northlink Healthcare. Our funding fuels our mission to supply Home Support Services, Home Rehabilitation Services and Community Home Based Nursing Services. We serve all age groups, offer time out houses and respite services to clients, employees and others in need as well as running a private pay Home Help Service.
Many people who live with disabilities and their families are not aware of the wide range of funded services that are available or how to access them. Our goal is to let clients and prospective clients know what services exist and how they could meet your needs.
Please contact us for a chat, so that we can inform you about all the services that are available to you.
Geneva Northlink Healthcare is here to ensure that every person feels confident to live independently, in their own home with the support that they need to do so.
